Aurelis is focused on developing food products for the retail market with a focus on taste while utilizing the unique taste and flavours of seaweed.
We develop products where seaweed contributes positively to the sensory quality of the product rather than just masking flavours or using very little seaweed.
The seaweed content in some of our products are as high as 30%.
Different varieties of seaweed each have their unique and distinctive characteristics.
The experience of eating seaweed ranges from a light sea flavour, almost salad-like, to a potent and umami-filled deep ocean flavour. By carefully considering the composition of ingredients and proper cooking method for each type of seaweed, we extract the best possible taste and flavour for each individual product.
We focus on using natural and organic ingredients.
Rather than using additives we prefer developing products with natural preservation methods such as various types of fermentation.
